Rental Rules & Responsibilities

To ensure a great rental experience, both renters and car owners must follow these rules. Please review them carefully before your trip.

Full Insurance

Every rental includes comprehensive insurance coverage and roadside assistance.

Verified Renters

All renters are verified with valid ID and driver's license before their first booking.

Car Pickup

  • The primary renter must personally collect the vehicle at the confirmed pickup address.
  • Additional drivers cannot pick up the car without the primary renter present.
  • The car owner must verify the renter's ID and driver's license number before handing over the keys.

Rental Contract

  • A rental contract must be signed at both pickup and return.
  • The contract documents: renter identity, additional drivers, vehicle condition, any existing damage, fuel level, and current mileage.
  • Both parties should keep a copy of the signed contract for their records.

Car Information

  • The car listing contains all necessary instructions and vehicle-specific information.
  • Owners should provide tips about parking, fuel type, and any quirks of the vehicle.
  • Renters should read the car description carefully before the pickup.

Renter Verification

  • Owners must deny the rental if the renter appears unfit to drive or is not the person who booked.
  • If the renter does not meet minimum age requirements, the owner should refuse handover.
  • Contact our support team immediately if any verification concerns arise.

Smoking & Animals

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the vehicle during the entire rental period.
  • Animals are only allowed with prior written agreement from the car owner.
  • If animals are permitted, the renter must ensure the car is returned clean and free of pet hair.

Cancellations

  • Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup.
  • Late cancellations (within 24 hours) may incur a cancellation fee.
  • No-shows are charged the full rental amount unless a valid reason is provided.

Vehicle Condition

  • The renter may cancel if the car does not match the listing description upon arrival.
  • The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received.
  • A cleaning fee will be charged if the car is returned in significantly worse condition.

Return Process

  • The return contract must be signed documenting the vehicle's condition at drop-off.
  • All damages — no matter how minor — must be recorded in the return contract.
  • Take photos of the vehicle at return for your own records.

Fuel & Mileage

  • Included kilometers are shown in your booking confirmation.
  • The renter is responsible for using the correct fuel type as specified in the listing.
  • The car must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup.
  • Mileage overages are automatically calculated and charged based on the agreed rate.

Damage & Problems

In case of an accident or breakdown, stop the vehicle safely and contact roadside assistance or our support team immediately.
  • All damage must be thoroughly documented with photos and written descriptions.
  • Documentation is essential for insurance claims to be processed correctly.
  • Never attempt to repair the vehicle yourself — contact support first.

Fines & Charges

  • Parking fees, traffic fines, toll charges, or similar costs incurred during the rental period are the renter's responsibility.
  • If the owner receives a fine for the rental period, the charge will be forwarded to the renter.
  • Renters should keep all parking and toll receipts during the rental.
